Major of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit, supports Turmkunst 2010

We are proud to announce that Mr Wowereit has said the following about our project:
“One of the most memorable buildings of our city – the “Bierpinsel”- is going through a process of change. I am sure that many locals, as well as guests to our city, will follow each brushstroke attentively and appreciate, how the futuristic architecture of the monument inspires the four artists. I wish all the contributor a lot of joy in this thrilling art project in the middle of Steglitz.“
XXL Open Air Art Tower

Turmkunst 2010 is the only project of its kind!
Blogs across the world have reacted on the trailer and post comments on our project in Japan, Spain, France, UK, US and so on. It is amazing to see a dream come true and it is seldom that such great artist meet to work together on a project of such gigantic dimension. The challenge is not only the weird shape (rubix cube), but also the large area: Over 2000m² are waiting for color! - and out heroes will work from a tiny lift swinging high above the roofs of the city!

Turmkunst 2010 goes Science

The first drafts have been made: Sozyone, Flying Förtress and Honet spend a week in Berlin to study "the monster"
The famous street artist, known for their projects for e.g. Prada or Nike as well as breath taking adventures will support the year of science in Berlin through making Science one of their key topics. The idea of creating thinking giants stems from an exhibition in the area which shows the nobel prize winners of Berlin, amongst them scientist May Planck.
